I'm a retired person, having spent my working career in a family manufacturing business. My management position involved making transmissions, small tractors, iron castings, and machined components. In this effort I ended-up traveling and negotiating with strategic sources in Mexico and China.
Prior to this I was in the Army, as a finance clerk in Vietnam, having been drafted right after graduating from UW, Madison, Wi., with a business degree.
I am married to Sandy Pschorr, and we have 8 grandchildren. We live in Florida but return each spring to Northern Wisconsin for 5 months. A great system.
Our family has always had dogs, and we love them. This fact is said to understand me.
I have never done any writing except for business, but I like reading and the power of words. I tried starting a website in honor of our youngest daughter who died in a car accident but that effort didn't materialize. Our other daughter and family live in Florida, as does our nephew (who we raised), where we enjoy being with them as our mutual schedules allow.
As you can see from the picture above, I ride motorcycles, and am a proud member of the American Legion Riders, Chapter 103, Punta Gorda, Fl. These are good people.
Due to Covid, the spring of 2020 was spent being mostly isolated in our Florida condo.
Perhaps that lifestyle change inspired me, or out of desperation, I started to write poetry. I have to admit, I enjoy contemplation and the quiet effort at putting my thoughts down "on paper". Poetry gives such leeway to express your whims and I find satisfaction in a short distance between the start and finish. I prefer adding some humor to my ramblings but also have penned some heavy, if not dark, examples of my emotional releases. Maybe I can't help it. I also am politically conservative, and express my opinions regularly. Be kind, I really can't help it.
I now have written many poems, which I may share on this blog, but for sure I will continue to ramble on with some unremarkable musings, if for no other reason than to do it.
